This rug is so glorious that it is an honour for any museum to preserve only a fragment of it. The other half is preserved in Cracovi Church in Poland and most probably the actual dimensions, were 710 × 410 cm
This extraordinary carpet exhibits a delightful landscape embossed with animal and plant motifs. Various trees, especially tall cypress and stems bearing blossom coupled with birds such as phoenixes are very well drawn in the corners of the field. Moreover, wild animals that chase and tear as well as canals of water running under the trees, all contribute to the unbridled magnificence of this work, which creates the impression of Iranian concept of paradise. The central medallion is decorated with khatayi motifs, the ringlet of which is in harmony with the narrow borders of the field. Different birds are laboriously wrought on the pendants
The wide borders in tune with the field are decorated with the khatayi leaves and flowers as well as animal figures. The limited assignment of narrow borders is typical characteristic of Safavid designs
