The dilapidated state and the fading colour of this rug do not prevent one from admiring its design. The blue medallion of this rug trimmed with islimi and khatayi motifs is sorrowfully damaged. The crimson field of the rug is decorated with gold islimi bands coupled with scrolls of flowering khatayi motifs among whose stems cloud bands are interspersed in an eye-dazzling manner. Spandrels also imitate this striking style of ornamentation

The wide border is embossed with elongated cartouches resembling armband motif, which depict the figures of fairies that sit face to face with a dish full of fruit in front of them. Patterned in beige octagon circular cartouches, peacocks are confronting each other among small trees bearing flowers. The scroll of delicate floral khatayi stems travel across the border to take care of any free space among the cartouches
